Today, the US military conducted an operation to seize the oil tanker Olina near the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. According to the Equasis database, the tanker was flying the flag of East Timor. Moreover, before that, the same ship, then called Minerva M, was included in the US sanctions list as part of the “shadow fleet”. The oil tanker was detained as part of operations to control Venezuela's oil exports.
