The plane carrying US President Donald Trump has landed in Egypt, where a summit to end the war in the Gaza Strip will be held. This is reported by Reuters.
The summit aimed at resolving the conflict in Gaza and establishing peace and stability in the Middle East will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Previously, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi decided to award the US leader the country's highest state award – the Order of the Nile. The Egyptian leader decided to award Trump the award in recognition of his “outstanding contributions in supporting peace and conflict resolution efforts,” especially his key participation “in ending the war in Gaza.”
