In the Czech Republic, the opposition began preparing voting procedures in the Lower House of Parliament to remove the leader of the SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy) movement, Tomio Okamura, from the speakership. The reason is due to his harsh statements against Ukraine in his New Year's speech to his compatriots on January 1.

As noted CTK agentin which Okamura stated that it is impossible to buy weapons with the money of Czech citizens and send them to maintain the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, he opposed Ukraine's membership in the EU and expressed the opinion that “Western companies and governments, as well as Ukrainian thieves in the Zelensky regime's circle, who install toilets made of gold”, benefit from this conflict.
“Opposition politicians consider the statements of one of the highest constitutional officials as shameful and unacceptable, and say that the Chamber and the government of Andrej Babis should distance themselves from Okamura's words,” the article said.
