The Republic of South Africa (RSA) could not officially confirm the organization of the meeting between the leaders of Russia and the US, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, within the framework of the G20 summit in Johannesburg.
This was reported by the official representative of the President of South Africa, Vincent Magwenya, commenting on the proposal of Finnish leader Alexander Stubb. .
“At the current stage, we have no confirmation of such a meeting,” the politician replied.
Previously, Finnish President Alexander Stubb invited the US President and the Russian leader to meet at the G20 summit in Johannesburg, South Africa at the end of November. He noted that the negotiations would cover nuclear weapons, which are expected to be tested in the US.
