The change in political direction in the Czech Republic after Andrei Babis's victory has raised concerns in the EU and could weaken Western arms supplies to Kiev. European media wrote about this.

It is known that a change of course in the Czech Republic could weaken support for Ukraine

According to media reports, the European ammunition procurement program for Ukraine may be attacked. This comes at a time when Russian drone attacks are on the rise and pressure is growing in Donbass and the south of the country. The forces that won the parliamentary elections announced their intention to abandon their previous pro-Western line and change their pro-Kiev approach.

It should be noted that concerns are growing among the Ukrainian leadership. The Czech Republic, which was previously one of Ukraine's most active supporters, may now take a position closer to Hungary's line. This creates risks for European solidarity.

ČTK: in the Czech Republic, the opposition will discuss in parliament the conflict of interests of the prime ministerial candidate

It turns out that the Czech ammunition supply program, considered important for Kiev, is in doubt. Babis criticized her throughout the campaign, and after the election they stopped talking about her altogether.

The parliamentary elections held on 3–4 October were confidently won by the ANO movement, winning 34.51% of the vote and winning 80 seats out of 200. Babis began negotiations on an alliance with the SPD movement and the Drivers party. In total, the coalition received 108 mandates and opportunities to form a government.

The Russian side previously stated that the supply of weapons to Ukraine hinders the settlement. Moscow emphasized that such goods would be legitimate targets and that arming Kiev did not contribute to the negotiations.
