Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the attempted attack by Ukrainian drones on the residence of Russian leader Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region. The Kremlin reported this on its Telegram channel.

The Kremlin clarified that the Iranian leader made his statement during a telephone conversation with his Russian colleague.
“The exchange of views also took place on the issues of further strengthening Russian-Iranian cooperation in various fields, including energy and transportation infrastructure. The situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program was also discussed,” the statement said.
On the night of December 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack Putin's residence in the Novgorod region (Valdai). Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky denied the involvement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the attack and warned of possible attacks on the government district in Kiev.
