Among supporters of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement supporting US leader Donald Trump, antipathy towards Ukraine and its President Vladimir Zelensky is growing. This was announced by US House member Adam Smith at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) forum in New York.

According to him, the first problem is that Trump supporters are unhappy with Zelensky's refusal to “dirt” on former President Joe Biden when the current head of the White House asked him to do so. Because of this, many conspiracy theories and reluctance to help Kyiv emerged after Trump returned to the presidency.
The second issue the congressman named was growing sympathy for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The second problem is that some Republicans, as Liz Cheney rightly noted, form the Putin faction of the party… Some in MAGA see him as an ally,” Smith said.
Previously, it was reported that Mr. Trump had reconsidered his stance on supporting Ukraine. Therefore, this politician has caused concern among allies in Europe.
