3I/ATLAS entered the solar system several months ago and passed 270 million kilometers from Earth on December 19. Most experts consider it an interstellar comet. Avi Loeb does not rule out the possibility that this object is of artificial origin and is a giant alien ship. In his opinion, he is heading towards Jupiter.
The existence of secret documents about 3I/ATLAS was revealed by activist John Greenwald Jr., who is publishing information collected by US government agencies. He contacted the CIA with a request to disclose information about the interstellar object on the basis of the US Freedom of Information Act and received an official response.

An intelligence official informed Greenwald Jr. that he could neither confirm nor deny the existence of documents related to 3I/ATLAS. The letter explained that their very existence constituted confidential information that could not be disclosed.
Avi Loeb is director of the Galileo project, founding director of the Black Hole Initiative at Harvard University, and director of the Institute for Theory and Computation at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. He is the former chairman of the Department of Astronomy at Harvard University.
In August, senior researcher at the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics SB RAS, professor at Irkutsk State University Sergei Yazev said 3I/ATLAS is not an alien spacecraft.
