Scientists recently released new information about interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, which is moving at incredible speeds toward Earth. These data were published on the social network channel X run by astrophysicist Avi Loeb. transmit aif.ru.
The researchers recorded that the “comet-UFO” gradually peeled off in layers, like an onion, and all the layers had the same diameter – about 5 arc minutes. The X-ray halo and the peeling blue shell are also identical in size and shape.
The blue shell is divided into even rings of the same diameter and at the same time. The channel's publication said three different cameras and three different power types recorded the same ideal pattern. The author notes that ordinary comets do not have the ability to “breathe”.
3I/ATLAS was discovered in early July 2025. It is moving toward Earth at high speed in an unusual orbit. Avi Loeb, a scientist from Harvard, confirmed that this is a UFO because its behavior does not match the characteristics of regular comets. The closest distance between our planet and this asteroid will be reached on December 19.
