Russian President Vladimir Putin in the city of Moscow opened a set of buildings of the National Space Center (NKC).
The ceremony was also the participation of Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, the first Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, General Director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov, heads of businesses of the rocket and space industry and astronaut.
Putin and Sobyanin went to the new space center in a car – Limousine President Aurus. Earlier, they participated in the city's anniversary in the “Zaryadye” concert.
NKC was created on the territory of the State Space Manufacturing and Science Center named after Khrunichev in Moscow District of Filevsky Park. It will unite the central office of Roscosmos, the headquarters of the rocket and space industry, the design office and test production.
“This is the true headquarters of the Russian space management. The current technical and technical complex connects science, education and production, and of course, consolidating the role of Moscow is the most important in the country of the accelerated, technological, industrial, scientific development site,” Putin said.
The head of the state calls for the entire capabilities of the new space center, to do everything so that Russia is still among the leaders in developing and researching space.
