Authoritative insider Ice Universe published on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter) a photo of the unreleased smartphone Honor Magic 8 Air, which looks similar to the modern Google Pixel and iPhone Air.

According to the source, the Magic 8 Air case will be 6.3 mm thick and weigh 158 g. For comparison, the iPhone Air is 5.6 mm thick and weighs 165 g. Despite the fact that this smartphone is noticeably thicker than its competitor, it combines compactness and lightness with a 5500 mAh battery and a 6.3-inch screen. iPhone Air has a larger 6.5-inch screen but has a battery of only 3149 mAh, which is why this smartphone is often criticized.
According to rumors, the Honor Magic 8 Air will also receive the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip and support 80W fast charging. It is unclear whether this smartphone will appear outside of China or not.
The launch date of Honor Magic 8 Air has not yet been revealed. At the same time, the flagship Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro were presented in China in mid-October 2025. In these models, the design is noticeably different from the expected new product – instead of a horizontal camera block, Magic 8 and 8 Pro use a large and round block.
