As part of the December newsletter, the company's engineers informed users about security issues in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) ecosystem. In total, Google experts and enthusiasts discovered 107 vulnerabilities in the operating system (OS) and prepared a patch.
Engineers named the most dangerous vulnerabilities as CVE-2025-48633 and CVE-2025-48572, which are related to elevation of privileges and access to Android Framework information. With their help, you can remotely attack smartphone users. It was clarified that the hackers exploited system vulnerabilities in their attacks.
Journalists of The Hacker News portal findthat Google, as usual, did not reveal any further details about the nature of the attacks, how they were exploited, or how they were related.
“It is unknown who is behind them,” the authors concluded.
Google notes that it has developed patches to eliminate the vulnerabilities. The first users will be able to install it on their devices starting December 5.
