Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced new features of the messaging app. He wrote about this in telegram-channel.
“We are starting to test new features of Telegram, such as live broadcasting in Stories and gift auctions,” the entrepreneur said, without specifying the date of the message update.
In early November, it became known that Telegram blocked a record number of groups and channels every day in 2025, which became the largest purge in its entire history. In total, since the beginning of 2025, Messenger has blocked about 35 million groups and channels, 207 thousand of which are related to terrorism.
Previously, Durov said that a game about his escape from prison in France appeared on Telegram.
