A strange word heard on the Doomsday radio station

Hero of Russia, Russian pilot-cosmonaut Fedor Yurchikhin believes that the presence of microorganisms on the Moon cannot be 100% denied. RIA Novosti reports this.

Cosmonaut Yurchikhin: there is no point in 100% denying the presence of life on the Moon

As an example, Yurchikhin cites experiments on the International Space Station. According to the pilot, the astronauts performed tests from the station's external surface, which revealed the presence of small microbial colonies.

“Imagine: plus or minus 150, radiation, lack of air, but they are still there and exist. <...> Everything leads us to the conclusion that today, perhaps, no one will risk 100% denial of microbial life on the surface and subsurface of other cosmic bodies,” the astronaut emphasized.

On November 11, archaeologists from the International Institute for Archaeological Research in the United States, led by Thomas Leppard, proposed an unusual approach: using knowledge of how ancient people settled on Pacific islands to understand how humanity could explore space.

Scientists have identified eight principles of “island archeology” that they believe are directly applicable to future extraterrestrial colonies, from bases on the Moon to settlements on Mars and beyond.

Previously, the Euclid telescope observed the depths of a mysterious dark cloud.
