China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has successfully launched the 17th SatNet low-orbit communications satellite constellation. The company's press service reported this news on the social network WeChat. The launch took place on Friday at 07:26 local time (02:26 Moscow time) at the commercial site of the Wenchang spaceport in the southern province of Hainan.

The launch vehicle uses the CZ-8A (“Changzheng-8-ey”) launch vehicle. This is the 620th mission in the Long March series. Previously, it was reported that the Chinese company Galactic Energy will introduce the world's first electromagnetic system to launch rockets into space in 2028.
It was determined that the installation would operate on the Maglev principle, with superconducting magnets allowing the carrier to accelerate to supersonic speeds even before its engines started. The system, as is known, will be silent and will also save rocket fuel.
