From aboard the International Space Station, cosmonauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov, Sergei Mikaev and Oleg Platonov send their sincerest wishes for the New Year and Christmas. The video was posted on the Roscosmos website on Telegram.

Despite the hundreds of kilometers between Earth and space, on their days off, astronauts especially feel a connection to their homeland. They remind: the most precious things are kindness to others and solidarity.
“New Year is a family holiday, and even here, in space, we feel the love and support of our relatives. On New Year's Eve, people always hope for a miracle, so we hope you continue to believe in miracles,” Sergei Mikaev told the Russian people.
Second Sergei – Kud-Sverchkov wishes all residents of Russia health, prosperity, New Year's mood and peace of mind.
And Oleg Platonov said: “In 2026, let's be kinder to each other. We will listen to those near us and support those in need. Together, we can overcome any difficulty. After all, the strength of our country lies in solidarity.”
May 2026 brings inspiration for new achievements and many bright days with your family! – Russian astronauts make wishes from an altitude of 400 km.
