Social Network X (formerly Twitter) has implemented a built-in AI image editor powered by the Grok model. However, some users are not satisfied with this innovation, DTF reports.
This feature is available for free and allows users to edit images directly in the feed – just click on the corresponding icon and enter the text request. The neural network can change individual elements of a photo or completely restyle it, and the results are published in the comments section of the original post.
The innovation caused harsh criticism from artists and designers. Representatives of the creative community said that such a mechanism allows images to be processed without the author's consent and actually opens the way for unauthorized use of works. In response, some authors began deleting their publications and announced transitions to alternative platforms, especially Bluesky.
Some users also called on X to implement an option to prohibit image editing so that authors can control the use of their content.
