Weather forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center Alexander Ilyin said frost was expected in the capital region over the weekend.

“On the night of January 9, the temperature in the region will drop to -17…-22°C, in Moscow it is expected to be around -17…-18°C,” he said in an interview with “Moscow Evening”.
According to him, daytime temperatures can drop to -16°C and it will get cold again in the evening. On the night of Saturday January 10, air temperatures could reach -22°C.
“But when it freezes on Saturday, the temperature will differ by 8-10 degrees from the average daily climate standard. This will cause severe pain in your nose and ears,” Ilyin quoted Radio station “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
