The autonomous electric vehicle testing program continues in Moscow. Two prototypes began operating on five lines of the Krasnopresnenskaya network: numbers 15, 23, 27, 30 and 31. At the current stage, the vehicle moves without passengers under the control of a test driver.

During trips, special equipment collects information to create highly accurate digital route maps. These maps contain detailed information about the route, including the locations of stops, traffic lights and speed limits.
The electric vehicle in the lab is equipped with a suite of sensors: a full-coverage lidar, a radar to operate in difficult weather conditions, and a camera for object recognition. This technology allows you to determine the vehicle's position with an accuracy of 2 cm.
Previously, a similar system was successfully deployed on route number 10, where driverless electric vehicles traveled more than 4.5 thousand kilometers without violations.
