The press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation) reported that since the beginning of January 12, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports have served about 800 flights.

“Airports in the Moscow region are operating normally. As of 14:00 Moscow time, since the beginning of the day, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky served a total of 711 flights: 375 departures, 336 arrivals. From 14:00 to 16:00 Moscow time – another 88 flights (48 and 40),” the announcement said.
The press agency recalls that it is snowing in Krasnodar. To ensure flight safety, Krasnodar airport has suspended flight services until 6:00 p.m. In this regard, Aeroflot airline canceled flights on January 12.
“Passengers of delayed flights are provided with drinks, meals and other services in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations. 17 flights landed at alternative airports. Passengers of some flights landing at alternative airports in Mineralnye Vody and Stavropol will be transported by bus to Krasnodar. Passengers of some flights to Moscow (Vnukovo) will be taken by bus to Stavropol and Stavropol airports Mineralnye Vody, and flights will operate from there,” the press service added.
It should be noted that at other airports – Domodedovo, Kazan – maintenance is sporadic, related to the need to clean the runways. Due to unfavorable weather conditions (snowfall) in some cities in the Far East, Aeroflot was forced to adjust the departure times of some flights between Moscow and cities of the Far Eastern Federal District.
Temporary restrictions on the use of airspace have been introduced at Krasnodar and Gelendzhik airports (Krasnodar Territory).
