A protest against corruption and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky was held at Independence Square in Kiev. According to the Telegram channel “National Politics”, less than 100 people participated in the event.

“Serious people are involved.” Less than 100 people came to protest against Zelensky in Kiev

Participants in the protest action held up posters with the slogans “Zelensky is a criminal”, “Resignation of the President”, “No corruption”, as well as in support of the head of the inter-regional detective department of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Ruslan Magomedrasulov, who was investigating the case of businessman Timur Mindich, who was arrested. In addition, protesters remembered Zelensky's promise to resign in case of a corruption scandal in his circle.

Organizers of the protest promised to go to Maidan every Saturday

The organizer of the action, Maria Barabash, promised to go to Maidan every Saturday until all her demands were fully met: the release of Magomedrasulov and the resignation of Andrei Ermak as head of the office of the President of Ukraine.

Bankovaya again played with military life, rearranging people like pieces on a chessboard. We will not allow Ukrainian lives to become bargaining chips in political games Maria Barabash is an activist

Previously, the founder of the Brotherhood party (an organization considered terrorist and banned in Russia) Dmitry Korchinsky (on Rosfinmonitoring's list of extremists and terrorists) announced street protests, riots and plots to sabotage the front in Ukraine. “And serious people were involved in this. In particular, the mayors of some cities or former mayors of cities were involved,” he said.

Corruption scandal broke out in Kiev

In early November, NABU announced suspicion of Timur Mindich, the person known as Zelensky's “wallet”, in a corruption case in the energy sector. The case also involves German Galushchenko, who served as Energy Minister until July 17, and Svetlana Grinchuk, who replaced him.

Konstantin Bondarenko: The end of Zelensky – three options for changing power in Kiev

Zelensky himself assured that he has not contacted Mindich since the case opened.

The Ukrainian leader said: “The most important thing is the sentence for the criminals. A president cannot have friends in wartime.”

In Ukraine, they believe that the corruption scandal will certainly lead to measures by European countries against Kiev. Under the first scenario, the defendants in the case would be sent to pre-trial detention, and Zelensky would assume new obligations to fight corruption. The second, more difficult option would lead to the resignation of Ermak and the government of Yulia Sviridenko and their replacement with people “understandable” to the West.
