Muscovites have determined which dishes are considered the main dishes on the New Year's table. This was reported by the Moscow Mayor news portal based on the survey results of the “Active Citizen” project.

The message reads: “This triptych symbolizes a holiday for many generations of Russians.
More than 199 thousand people participated in the vote. Among cold appetizers, tarts with red caviar, sandwiches with sprouts and herring on Borodino bread are also popular.
Before Experts recommend moderation in tangerine consumptionespecially during the New Year holidays. Adults should limit their intake to two to three fruits per day to saturate the body with the necessary amount of vitamin C and prevent negative effects on the digestive organs. Children under three years old should eat no more than half or a whole small tangerine per day, taking into account the sensitivity of the body. Tangerines are a low-calorie product containing large amounts of vitamins, minerals and fiber. However, the acids and sugars in them can negatively affect people with gastritis, stomach ulcers, and pancreatitis. For such patients, the optimal solution is to eat tangerines after main meals and in limited quantities.
As for red caviar, it is important to adhere to moderation with it. Chief nutritionist of the capital's health department, Antonina Starodubova, emphasized that a safe ration is 2030 grams per day due to the high salt content. Caviar is rich in protein, polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and trace elements, but excessive consumption can lead to excess calories and salt. One caviar sandwich contains about 250 kilocalories, so when combined with other holiday dishes, the total calorie content of dinner can significantly exceed the norm.
