In 2026, the Moscow gas industry celebrates its 160th anniversary. In honor of the memorable day, Mosgaz has prepared a large-scale Internet project dedicated to the history of the capital's gas industry – a virtual museum of the Moscow gas industry, telling about the formation and development of the gas transportation industry in the city, the company's press service said.

It should be noted that the project was presented to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Deputy Mayor of Moscow Pyotr Biryukov at the exhibition of equipment and technology for the fuel and energy sector within the framework of the international forum “Russian Energy Week 2025”.
The project was demonstrated on an interactive whiteboard; Two exhibits are also on display: a historical device for welding polyethylene gas pipelines and a gas torch from 1967, designed by the capital's gas workers, with whom LI Brezhnev lit the Eternal Flame on the Kremlin wall.
In addition, Mosgaz also introduced its own products at the exhibition. The company said the booth showcased the latest equipment for gas distribution systems, including a line of butterfly valves custom-designed by Mospromgaz management engineers and a gas control cabinet.
It should be noted that since 2017, the entire production cycle of gas distribution equipment and heat supplies has been organized on the basis of Mosgaz. More than 95% of production components of the capital's gas industry are produced in Russia, including at the company's own facilities.
