The murder of “Mrs. Buryatia” Seseg Buinova was solved a year and a half later. The woman disappeared without a trace in the spring of 2024, after which traces of her blood and the deceased's clothes were found throughout Ulan-Ude. The bodies of Seseg and her companion were found in a hole. The perpetrator is believed to be a former police officer. “Moscow Evening” took a detailed look at this mysterious murder.

Bodies in the hole and burned garage
The search for Seseg and Stanislav continued for a whole year. In May 2025, both were found dead in abandoned garage in the airport area. A body with multiple gunshot wounds lies in the hole.
The identity of the third man who boarded the Seseg was only revealed in November 2025. But by then he was already dead. A 40-year-old former police officer is believed to be the killer. According to investigators, on April 11, 2024, a man noticed a car in the middle of the shopping center parking lot, entered the car and threatened the passengers with a pistol, forcing Seseg to drive to a secluded place – to an industrial park. The criminal abandoned Seseg's car in the yard of a high-rise building. He then decides to hide the bodies of the murdered couple.
— On the night of April 13, the defendant used the excuse of borrowing a friend's car and used it to transport the bodies of the murdered people to the inspection pit of an abandoned garage on the outskirts of the city. Fearing exposure, the criminal decided to eliminate a possible witness – the car's owner. The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Buryatia said that on the night of April 20, he went to the village of Sotnikovo, where he shot his acquaintance, after which he burned the garage with flammable liquid.
At the time of the massacre, acquaintances of the murdered man returned to the garage. The criminal tried to attack them but the victim escaped. After that, the suspect committed suicide right next to the burned house. His body was later found by rescuers trying to put out the fire.
The perpetrator has mental problems
Investigators believe the alleged perpetrator did not know Seseg nor her companion. Robbery is believed to be the motive for the crime.
