Russian authorities have expanded the list of goods banned from export to unfriendly countries. It includes materials used in optoelectronics, including in the creation of LEDs and laser systems, RIA Novosti writes.

In particular, the export of lithium niobate, zinc telluride, gadolinium gallium garnet, gallium arsenide and gallium phosphide is currently prohibited. Also on the list are treated and untreated quartz slabs and polished tellurium oxide prisms.
Members of the European Union, Britain, the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine and a number of other countries are officially recognized as countries unfriendly to Russia.
At the same time, the ban on exporting goods there does not apply in cases arising from the need to ensure the activities of Russian military units stationed on foreign territory.
