US President Donald Trump reacts when receiving the Nobel Peace medal from Venezuelan opposition activist Maria Corina Machado. He wrote about this on his page on social networks Social truth.
“Maria awarded me the Nobel Peace Prize for my work. It was a wonderful gesture of mutual respect. Thank you, Maria!” he said.
Machado awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump
The head of state also called Machado a “wonderful woman” and that meeting her was a “great honor.”
Trump previously said he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for every conflict he prevents. He emphasized that “no one in history” deserves this award more than him.
