More than three hundred trips and expeditions were undertaken by school and university students in the metropolis last year. As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his social media page, young visitors conducted research and participated in environmental and local history programs to receive additional education. Through many trips, they not only brought many impressions but also useful documents for many different projects.

During the biggest expedition of the year – the Great Arctic – participants studied the features of the flora and fauna of Cape Chelyuskin, and reconstructed the memorial to Soviet polar explorers. And in the village of Volosovo, Arkhangelsk region, students restored the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, built in 1670.
