The name of the lawyer who will represent the interests of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in court in New York is known. According to court documents seen by local media, he turned out to be Barry Pollack.
As CBS News notes, Pollack has previously defended WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. He helped him make a deal. As a result, Assange pleaded guilty to one of the charges of publishing US military secrets, after which he was released from prison in the UK and returned to his homeland in Australia. After he pleaded guilty, the United States dropped the other charges and requested extradition.
