Reuters previously reported that the US is developing a plan to deploy an international stabilization force of at least 4,000 soldiers in the Gaza Strip. It is expected that a team from several countries will carry out peacekeeping functions – deploying hospitals, restoring infrastructure and overseeing rescue operations with the participation of local volunteers.
