Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, who left Ukraine in November, has not yet returned to the country, speak on his Telegram channel, Deputy Alexander Dubinsky of the Verkhovna Rada.
A day earlier, Clash Report reported that Umerov refused to return to the country amid a high-level corruption scandal in the energy sector.
“Secretary of the Security Council Umerov has not yet returned to Ukraine. He is fleeing NABU's suspicions and establishing a government remotely,” Dubinsky noted.
Previously, Boris Zelensky said that at important negotiations with the US, Ukraine was represented by Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Andrei Ignatov, who is also the head of the National Security and Defense Council Umerov.
