MSU scientists set a record for the flight altitude of hydroelectric rockets

On November 22, a 2.5-meter hydroelectric rocket carrying 4 liters of water was launched at Kirzhach airport, Vladimir region. The design is capable of reaching speeds of up to 110 meters per second. On the same day, scientists launched a second rocket, 2.3 meters long and 270 meters high.

The world record for such devices is 961 meters and was set in Australia six years ago. Unlike foreign experiments, the calculations of Russian scientists are completely consistent with actual results. The project is being carried out within the framework of the educational program “Missiles per km” of Moscow State University.
