A Western Australian cyclist known for his tattoos has been fined for having a Nazi swastika on his chin. ABC NEWS reported.

In Australia, a cyclist was fined for having a swastika on his face.

Dane Brajkovich was fined $500 by a judge for having a swastika tattoo. The display of Nazi symbols was banned in Western Australia last year. However, the Perth cyclist's lawyer told the court the tattoo did not show any specific connection, the newspaper reported.

As noted, the lawyer said that his client had a “very small” tattoo even before the symbol was declared illegal. The defendant, Brajkovic, admitted applying the offensive symbol but later altered the tattoo so it was no longer a prohibited symbol under Western Australian law.

In August, a Russian walked into Sochi with a Nazi tattoo on his neck. As a result, the court sentenced him to one year and six months in prison at a penal camp. According to records, at the trial, he fully admitted his guilt and repented.
