The forecaster noted that in Moscow “the beginning of meteorological winter”, which usually begins on November 13, is being postponed for a week or two.
“But the car winter will begin in the next seven days,” Tishkovets wrote on his telegram channel.
He said that he himself used new winter tires and advised other motorists to “change their shoes.” According to Tishkovets, next weekend, when wet snow begins to fall in many places in Central Russia, it may be too late.
The forecaster added that temperatures are expected to gradually decrease over the next week. However, “thermometer readings will still be several degrees warmer than the long-term norm by mid-November.” At night in Moscow it will be +1…+4, during the day from +4 to +7. Rain is expected Wednesday night and Thursday night, with hail in many places. No snow cover is forecast.
