According to the weather forecast, the municipality is expected to have cloudy and cold temperatures from October 13 to 19. Temperatures this week will drop to 1-6 degrees Celsius at night, and during the day the air will warm up to plus 4-9 degrees. Such values are several degrees lower than October climate standards, Pozdnykova warned.
In addition to rain, hail will fall in Moscow, but heavy snowfall is not yet forecast. According to the meteorologist, residents of the capital will not even notice the snow falling – the snowflakes will quickly melt when they reach the ground.
This week will be remembered by Muscovites for its unusually warm weather. Pozdnykova said that until the 12th, daytime temperatures will remain 3.5 degrees above normal for October.
Frosts will again arrive in the city closer to mid-October. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecast center, noted earlier that until Sunday, October 12, the weather in Moscow will be warm and foggy.
