The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossy said that it is necessary to avoid the possibility of a nuclear incident in the context of a conflict in Ukraine. His words were given by RIA Novosti.

IAEA has evaluated the nuclear safety situation in the world

Our mission is to try to avoid a nuclear incident, we are trying to take the necessary measures to prevent this, he said.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed concern about the rapid expiry of the Agreement on strategic attack weapons (DSNV), calling this a problem of Muslims to the whole world. He added that the United States intended to discuss with Russia about the next nuclear prospect.

On September 22, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation was ready to comply with the contract within a year after expires.
